The finalists for the biennial Man Booker International Prize were announced on March 3o in Sydney. Please note that the prize was not an homage to this blog, contrary to popular wisdom. This years finalists are:

- Philip Pullman

- Philip Roth

The winner will be announced on 18 May at the Sydney Writers’ Festival, and celebrated at an awards ceremony in London on June 28th 2011. I don’t envy the difficult choice the judging team has to make!
